In the late 1800's and into the middle of the 1900's there were industrious individuals who used Circular Sock Knitting Machines to make not just socks, but sometimes entire garments on this hand cranked, needle-filled cylinder machine. Currently there are many machines that, having been made of cast iron, or pot metal, were sturdy and able to survivie the tests of time and they have been lovingly cleaned up and restored to working condition after long years of neglect.  In the picture above you can view the selection of socks usually available and on hand in my Tacoma Studio.  While the selections vary from season to season, all items are made from quality fiber and are available in custom sizes to your order.
